Our mission is to contribute to the future of chamber music by providing a world-class mixed ensemble chamber music experience to a broad audience crossing demographics, through both the traditional chamber music repertoire and newer works commissioned by the group.
Who Do You Serve?
We serve the Atlanta regional community with multiple concerts annually, including outreach and educational events for children and underserved communities.
Founded in 1976, the Atlanta Chamber Players have spent 4 decades producing small ensemble concerts of the highest quality. The ACP has performed in over 250 cities throughout the U.S., Europe, and Mexico, and we have premiered nearly 125 new works. In 2014, ACP won The American Prize for Chamber Music Performance.
Creation of the Rapido Composition Contest, which has resulted in nearly 1,000 new musical compositions. A collaboration with 4 other chamber groups across the country, the competition reaches 48 states and encourages a new generation of American composers.
Our greatest need is for people who have a passion for intimate classical music and are connected to Foundations or Corporations who have an interest in supporting the arts in metro Atlanta and beyond.
The ACP wants to produce more public concerts that reach broader audiences, and continue to expand the Rapido Composition Contest.
